| Aw curses...looks like they want to make manga scanlating illegal. It's gonna be harder to find mangas now. That really sucks! I hope they don't get to the site I like to use. Chances are...they will. Onemanga's already committed to stopping there's. Oh well...Go Bears! | | |
| That Fourth Hokage is really something. He makes Tsunade look really bad. This last Naruto, I really liked, it made me smile and sad at the same time...a happy/sad feeling. Sucks that the anime is going back to a stupid filler. I think it's gonna be a really bad filler too. Oh well...
I read someone said the relationship between Lebron and the other two is a friendship because of the olympics, while the relationship between Jordan, Bird, and Magic was rivalry. Uhmmm...but I guess he didn't know that those two were also his very close friends. Those three also played on the olympic team, shared rooms together, and in fact stayed up late talking about basketball. Basketball is weak nowadays anyway. People are too afraid to declare a rivalry. Back in the days, every good team was a rival. Now, it's pretty boring, no rivalry at all.
Now Chris Paul wants to make his own super team. This Miami move really was bad for the NBA. You'll have 4-6 super teams, and then the rest of the NBA. How boring...
I am not ready for the fantasy football draft, though it's a month away. I have no idea what's been going on this summer. I think I'm another mid-round pick. I do wish I was higher...just because I think it'd be funner. Does anyone want to trade their entire draft for mine? Think about it...

| I think people are seeing the Lebron James thing the wrong way. I don't think it was bad that Lebron was looking for a new home. Some people say he should've stayed to try and build a championship team. I mean...Chamberlain, Jabbar, Barkley, Drexler, they all went to different teams. There's nothing wrong with team-swapping. It's the team that he went to that will hurt his legacy. He went to a team with 2 of the best players in the game right now. Bosh is probably the best, if not, one of the best power forwards in the game...I honestly think he's underrated. He has a great mid-range shot, he was top 10 in scoring at 24 a game while shooting 52% from the field, and averaged nearly 11 rebounds a game, and was the catalyst for what I thought was a below average Toronto Raptor team! Then there's Dwayne Wade, who is arguably one of the top 5 players in the NBA. So...I think Jordan said it best:
"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team. But that's ... things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys."
That's what real champions are made of...to anticipate, and rise up to a challenge. So until they break up...they'll never be real champions. When a team is built this way, you realize that the steps it took to get the ring wasn't quite as sweet as it could've been. There was no struggle involved, they just got there in one fell swoop. It's like a mountain climber using an elevator to get to the top. Instead of embracing the challenge, he coward away from it. It's not just about the championship, it's knowing that you tried. Bill Russell won 11 championship in 13 years...how many hall of famers in that time missed out on a ring? Lebron added a new title to his belt...coward. And it can't ever be relinquished. Sorry James.
| So I guess Lebron James is a Miami Heat. I have no doubt in Lebron's ability. I think, physically, he's the best player in the game. I don't doubt the team, they're going to be a great team, because all three are great. But I do doubt his resolve and his competitive fire. Instead of wanting to play against the greatest players, he chooses to join them. That's like...Shaquille O'Neal coming to Jordan's Bulls. I was hoping Lebron would have more competitiveness in him, but apparently he wanted to take the easy way out. If they do win the championship, it won't be like..."Oh great! This team won! Lebron James led this team to the championship!" It'd be like..."Oh...ok. I guess the cheater team won." That's like taking a test when you already know all the answers. Lebron James is a great basketball player with no confidence in himself. He will no longer be seen as Lebron James, but as Wade/Bosh/James. | | |

"Lebron James announced today that he will retire from the game of basketball."
Do athletes really need that much money. For instance, Ray Allen isn't worth 10 mil a year, Amare Stoudemire isn't worth a max contract, Paul Pierce isn't worth 4 year/60mil. I mean...look at what happened to Ben Gordon. Detroit gave him 11 mil a year and he had a terrible 2009. Average players shouldn't be getting paid in the 10 mils, especially aging ones. I hope the Bulls didn't give a max contract to Boozer. Come on...the economy's struggling, athletes needa be a little less selfish. There was once a time when GM's were in charge...selfish athletes. I mean, come on!!! Did Boston really need Allen and Pierce that badly...they didn't win an NBA title. And their players are getting older...while other teams are improving. But...I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.
